Lakoo is a Vancouver based studio creating small batch, handcrafted pieces made with real genuine flowers, carefully handpicked and preserved in resin to last forever.

Each design begins with natural blooms gathered with intention, then preserved in a way that protects their delicate structure, colour and character. The result is timeless botanical jewelry that captures fleeting moments in nature and transforms them into lasting wearable art.

At the heart of Lakoo is a vision of celebrating nature’s impermanence by preserving its beauty in a tangible artistic form. The work is defined by a focus on organic composition, joyful colour palettes, and sculptural forms that reflect movement and softness.

Mona, the founder, creative artist and maker behind Lakoo, is an Iranian born designer whose lifelong passion for flowers, art and craftsmanship inspired the creation of the brand. Her perspective is shaped by a rich cultural background and a deep appreciation for storytelling through natural materials, where each flower holds meaning, memory and emotion.

Working from her Vancouver studio, Mona carefully handpicks and preserves real flowers, thoughtfully arranging each bloom into one of a kind compositions. Her designs reflect a love for organic forms, joyful colour stories and intentional craftsmanship, transforming delicate botanicals into wearable pieces made to last forever. Through Lakoo Designs, she continues to explore the intersection of nature and art, creating jewelry that feels personal, expressive, and enduring.

Lakoo means “daughter” or “girl” in the Gilaki language, spoken in the northern region of Iran along the Caspian Sea in Gilan — a region known for its lush landscapes, forests, and rich cultural heritage.

For Lakoo Designs founder Mona, the name holds deep emotional meaning. Her grandmother, from Gilan near the Caspian Sea, lovingly called her “Lakoo” as a term of endearment, a simple word that reflected warmth, love  and connection within the family.
